Fx Bricks visits Norway!
We had an amazing opportunity to visit the På Kloss Hold LEGO fan event in Trondheim, Norway organized by the Brikkelauget LEGO User Group. Michael Gale from Fx Bricks presented a workshop session on modular layout design using the MILS standard and another workshop called "Inside Fx Bricks". And no wonder what is left of 9 volt and the airport shuttle system was out of stock people brought the final boxes and bags of it I certainly hope someone makes a knockoff version that will somewhat bring back 9 volt stuff because people were raging at lego for getting rid of it

J’adore ce produit, le son est exceptionnel et l’imaginait depuis longtemps dans ma 10277. Par contre le pseudo tuto pour modifier le toit de la locomotive n’est pas clair du tout. Résultat, adaptation difficile et rendu très mauvais. Je suis revenu au montage power up. Dommage, je suis très désappointé.

I enjoyed every minute of the vide, thank you! And assumingly I ready to introduce my kids to this hobby via paly. But let's take budget of $1000-$2000. I can buy 4 or 5 train sets plus significant amount of Lego or even 3-rd party tracks. Together with this, what I can build for $1000 using quality made Fx Bricks? One large circle layout covering full room. That's pretty much all. I would expect from Fx Bricks and similar manufacturers to expand variety of the products, offering high end and budget alternatives.
Looking forward to get P40 switches in September ( I think ). I've preordered 14 of them !!

This video was released on Feb 11, 2022, more than one year ago. "We're aiming to make the P40 switch available for summer 2022" is totally obsolete. Summer 2023? There has been no update to these things for one year now. Also, my questions from one year ago (regarding the geometry and remote control of the P40 switch) have not been answered.
I am also annoyed by the delays. The updates on their blog are always promises like "soon" or "stay tuned." I start to be worried that they run out of money at some point. They tried to reinvent motors, transformers, and switches. They even teased an axle that can pick up electricity from the tracks for lightning inside a passenger car. None of this has come to fruition. I can understand that Covid19 hit and supply chains broke down. I know that not everything that can be produced in foreign countries is up to standard and that you must gain some experience there. But the longer I cannot buy the products they invest in, the higher the risk they run out of money. It would be unfortunate if that happened and I would be really sad.
@@ulrichschneider350 Now they suddenly announced the release of P40 switch, R64 curve and S 1.6 and S 3.2 for August, but they don't even announce it here on their RUclips channel; very disappointing. Besides, they never say anything about remote controlling their switches. A pair of switches seems to be quite expensive. For this price, I would expect remote control, or at least the option of upgrading to remote control, as in the 1980s, where a pair of manual switches (7856) was as cheap as 41,70 DM (about 20 Euros or 20 dollars, of course not inflation-corrected, but anyway). Even with remote controls, a pair of switches costed about 120 to 140 DM (60 to 70 Euros or USD). Today I saw a whopping price of 169 Euros for a pair of manual R 104 switches. And I have still no notion how to remote control them. If I build a large high speed track with wide curves, most of the switches will certainly be out of reach of my hands, so I urgently need remote control for my switches.

12v didn't start with the gray tracs it was already avaible for the Blue tracs.

The metal 9v era was my era of lego trains and it seemed really like the best. so happy to hear they are back!
